Miriam Gardner, MFT Associate
My goal as a therapist is to help you overcome your current problems through real introspection and a solution focused approach. I’d love to work with you in an empathetic, non-judgmental and trusting therapeutic relationship. I want you to leave my office feeling stronger, more resilient, self-aware, and hopeful about your future. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, substance issues, a challenging transition like separation or divorce, or just the day-to-day stress of managing life, we'll work together to find the solutions that will ease your symptoms and, most importantly, help you heal and grow.
As a child of divorce and an adult with a 25 year long marriage that I am continually striving to improve, I like working with individuals and couples who want more from their marriages. Whether you’re needing to find better communication techniques, overcome a trauma or infidelity, or work on intimacy issues, my goal is to help couples find more than a merely satisfactory relationship. And if you find you are ready to move on from your marriage we’ll work on amicable ways to do that.
I’ve also raised four children and know how challenging child rearing can be. I am trained to work with families on the wide range of problems that arise while nurturing your family.
At every level we’ll work on relational skills because creating fulfilling and meaningful relationships is a key component to happiness.
